A total of 25 Councillors are needed for the new Northampton Town Council, which will be the largest town council in the country when it becomes fully operational on 1 April this year.

Local Council Elections Postponed

All planned elections in Northamptonshire were postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Elections to the newly created Town Council and Kingsthorpe Parish Council and Far Cotton and Delapre Community Council will now take place on May 6 2021.

Green Light for Town Council

A new town council for Northampton will be created on 1 April 2020 following an historic decision by Northampton Borough Council (NBC).
