Northampton in Bloom

Northampton in Bloom

Northampton Town Council and partners are pleased to introduce Northampton in Bloom 2021, a lovely project bringing a myriad of colour to uplift the community throughout the summer months.

You may have already seen some of our beautiful floral containers including, tiered baskets, hanging baskets, lamp post baskets and barrier baskets appearing in the town, these floral containers will remain in place until the end of September.

Traditionally, Northampton in Bloom has covered mainly the town centre area, this year Northampton Town Council is pleased to have supported the spread of the project into some new areas of the parish boundary. Unfortunately, due to the Covid pandemic, we are sorry to say our contact with the local community groups and schools has been more limited than we would have liked this year, however, through the newly developed Bloom working party we aim to improve our connections and contact with many local groups who are keen to be actively involved in this lovely project.

The Mayor, Councillor Rufia Ashraf said: "Despite Covid-19 restrictions, we are delighted we can continue to get outdoors and enjoy the uplifting benefits of the added colour, bringing a sense of wellbeing to our community."

Northampton in Bloom is a project that the Town Council are extremely committed to and our aim is to build and grow connections in all our ward in future years.

We are asking you to take photos of your beautiful gardens, shop fronts and areas of your community in Bloom, and post them to social media platforms using the #NorthamptonInBloom handle. If you would like to know more about Northampton in Bloom or get involved with the project please contact us by email info@northamptontowncouncil.gov.uk or telephone 01604 349310.
