Northampton Town Councils Season of Festivities 2021
Join Northampton Town Council, Northampton Town Centre BID and West Northants Council for a season of merriment this Christmas with a variety of festive entertainment throughout December.
The season will commence with Northampton Town Council's official Christmas Lights Switch On, this Saturday 20th November. Join the cast of Aladdin for an afternoon of merry-making and revelment, before the Christmas Lights Switch on at 5pm.
Jump into the world of augmented reality with 'A Christmas Story' trail. Explore Northampton celebrates its 1st anniversary with a new Christmas experience, launching on the 28th November at the Frost Fair. Fun for the whole family, you can follow the trail to find a life-sized Father Christmas in 10 locations around the Town Centre, to unlock each part of an original Northampton Christmas tale.
You can even join Santa for a photo op, perfect for the family Christmas card. You can enter them using the #ChristmasStoryNN handle.
Get into the spirit of the holidays with the town's Christmas Saturdays, on the 4th, 11th, 18th December, from 11am. Join the festivities with live seasonal entertainment on the main stage of Northampton's Market Square, every Saturday in the run up to Christmas with roaming street acts throughout the day.
No Christmas is complete without a visit to Father Christmas, in partnership with the BID, Northampton Town Council is delighted to be bringing Santa's Grotto to the Grosvenor Centre, for children up to 10 years old. Pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. All money from this event will be donated to the Mayors Fund. There will be a £1 charge to secure the booking per family, using PayPal. Each child will receive a gift.
Shoppers in Northampton can enjoy free parking within WNC multi-storey and surface car parks from 3pm every day and all day at weekends from 20 November through to 1 January.
