Mayor, Cllr Dennis Meredith to chair Northampton Town Council’s Annual Town Electors Meeting

Northampton Town Council will be holding its annual Town Electors Meeting on Monday 23rd May, at 6pm in the Court Room of Northampton Guildhall.

The annual Town Electors Meeting is free and open to all residents of Northampton Parish who are on the electoral roll and is an opportunity for the residents of Northampton to ask questions and for the Town Council to directly engage with the community. The meeting will be chaired by the Mayor, Cllr Dennis Meredith, who will reflect on the Town Council's first year.

It is anticipated that representatives from partner organisations such as West Northants Council will also be on hand to answer questions. Tea and coffee will be available.

Town Clerk Stuart Carter said, 'The Town Electors Meeting is an opportunity for residents to come along, and talk to the Town Council about its work. Given that this is our first year, we are particularly keen to hear from residents about how they think the Town Council can help in their areas and communities. Also on hand will be representatives from other organisations, to give the opportunity for residents to address them too.'
