Special Guest Performance at Christmas Lights Switch On this Sat 26 Nov!
BILLY LOCKETT JOINS THE FESTIVITIES SINGING NEW TRACK 'GUIDING STAR (CHRISTMAS EVE)'
Joining Northampton Town Council's Christmas Lights Switch On this Saturday 26 November, Northampton-born singer-songwriter Billy Lockett will be performing his very own Christmas single 'Guiding Star' (Christmas Eve) released via Photo Finish Records. Billy will be on stage for the switch on countdown before ending the celebrations with a fun festive finale!
Billy Lockett said, "Very pleased to be a part of the Northampton Christmas lights, I'm a proud Northamptonian and can't think of a better place to play my Christmas single "Guiding Star" live for the first time ever than in my hometown."
Released a ripe two months before the big day, 'Guiding Star (Christmas Eve)' pieces together all the fragments of the festive period, whether wholesome or grueling to create an authentic image of Christmas. Running wild with tongue in cheek lyricism that holds hands with novelty sleigh bells with underlying infectious rhythm, it's a warming ode to the most wonderful time of the year.
Having supported the likes of Lana Del Ray, Lewis Capaldi, Birdy and KT Tunstall, Billy Lockett has rubbed shoulders with the stars and has amassed over 110 million collective streams and tens of thousands of fans across the globe for his powerful and emotive songwriting spanning a myriad of genres.
Talking about his first Christmas track, Billy says: "It's hard to find the words to describe this Christmas song, as you can see from the music video I took the whole thing very seriously. I wanted to just have fun with this video/song and the green screen it kind of made the possibilities endless! I managed to sneak in a few Christmas movie references, see if you can spot them and my bulldog Trevor who stole the show as always." @BillyLockett https://billylockettofficial.lnk.to/GuidingStar
