Cllr. Jacqueline Fuchshuber has been announced as the new Northampton Town Councillor for Talavera ward, following the election on Thursday 2nd September.
Jacqueline Fuchshuber of the Liberal Democrat Focus Team won with 444 votes, beating Marianne Kimani, of the Labour party with 437 votes and James Thorpe, an independent candidate with 96 votes.

The Wall Games project, founded by Art Curator, James Thompson, is the first project to take place that has been funded by the Northampton Town Council Community Grant scheme. The Grants Sub-Committee of the newly formed Northampton Town Council this week (3 August) recommended a grant award to the Northampton Music Festival (NMF) of £5,000 from its Community Grants budget. This is in addition to the already agreed £10,000 that the Music Festival has traditionally received from the Borough Council.

Unfortunately this weekend's Band in the Park, the Northampton Male Voice Choir are having to cancel Sunday's performance due to a member of their group testing positive for Covid 19. The member of the group has been attending their indoor practice sessions and therefore in line with government guidance many of the group are having to self-isolate for 10 days.#BandsinthePark will continue next Sunday... Armed Forces Day is celebrated nationally on 26th June every year. This years celebration coincided with the centenary of the Royal British Legion, as well as, the 100 year Anniversary of Northampton's own branch of the RBL. The Returning Officer of West Northants Council has published Notice of the Election of Town Councillors on 6th May 2021. There are 60 candidates for 25 vacancies representing the Town Council's 21 Wards. The Notice, which can be downloaded below gives details of all persons nominated for each Ward and the location of polling stations in that Ward.
