Parish Proclamation of the New Sovereign, King Charles III
On Saturday 10th September, hundreds gathered at St James's Palace in London for the Royal Accession Ceremony, to hear the national proclamation of the new Sovereign, King Charles III.
Following the national proclamations, on Sunday 11 September, everyone was invited to gather at the Guildhall Steps in Northampton, for a historic ceremony, when The Mayor of Northampton, Cllr. Dennis Meredith, formally proclaimed the beginning of King Charles III's reign, to the people of Northampton.
The Parish proclamation, followed the County proclamation, read at a ceremony at All Saints Church, by The High Sheriff of Northamptonshire, Crispin Holborow DL at 1pm.
